Location: Flatlands, SC
Salary Range: 60-75K
Responsibilities, Skills and Requirements
This selected candidate will be a key member of the New Product Development Team responsible for development, design and evaluation of new products as well as changes to existing products
- Ability to serve as lead design engineering resource, for the New Product Development Team, on all projects, including responsibility for all mechanical design and validation
- Analyze and interpret engineering data submitted for new products and components, modifications/changes affecting standard products
- Instruct and assist design and layout drafting personnel
- Serve as liaison to Purchasing Department on matters dealing with materials requirements, functional specifications and sources for components
- Communicate with mfg engineering - providing assistance in methodizing production operation, tooling requirements, manufacturing or out sourcing as well as labor and material costs
- Provide assistance on various engineering projects including the construction and testing of pilot models and components, quality assurance etc.
- BSME
- Minimum of five (5) years experience
- AutoCAD, SolidWorks and/or ProE
- Knowledge/experience in electric heating devices and/or HVAC industry preferred
