Vice President Retail Services

Responsibilities and Skills
The Vice Prsident Retail Services will manage Project Service of the Client Company by emcompassing global best practices in relationship to retail accounts. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure alignment of Service businesses with overall Solutions corporate strategy and goals.
  • Drive innovation, efficiency and growth of services businesses through a cooperative effort with Product Management and Engineering.  
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Product Management to develop/communicate with Service business leaders a well-defined and documented product plan and complimentary marketing strategy to position the Service businesses to attain growth and profit goals in current and future fiscal periods. 
  • Participate with top management to ensure appropriate allocation of dedicated resources to attain tool improvement and process development that will position Service businesses to achieve corporate goals.  
  • Represent Service business units at board, planning, and strategy meetings to ensure alignment with corporate visions for growth and profit and to provide Service business leaders with insight for corporate strategy. 
  • Champion the roll out and adoption of all Global delivery strategies for project management, commissioning, and remote services and ensure that proper feedback is given to enhance the tools, processes and standards to improve our effectiveness.
  • Understand and drive LCC strategy that will position Service businesses to grow to properly support International markets.
  • Document and maintain clarity around all processes that are required to successfully execute projects, deliver services and hold people accountable to utilizing those processes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to curtail misappropriated efforts expended on activities that do not align with corporate initiatives while providing a viable process to handle unique solutions that vary from core services product plan or corporate goals for sustained growth.  
  • Improve internal infrastructure and related processes for conducting business with Services wing of Solutions organization.  
  • Work with Sales leaders to improve effectiveness of Sales organization at selling profitable services. 
  • Maintain customer relationships through customer visits and communication of project status.
  • Ensure personal senior level relationships with designated customers as required as well as developing relationships across as many functions as possible within the customer organizations.
  • Manage and supervise Services business leaders. 
  • Check and be responsible for quality of work provided by direct employees and contractors.
  • Maintain corporate and personal records of work history
  • Adhere to all company policies.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required in Engineering or related technical field ...an M.B.A. would be a distinct advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years of directly relevant experience in managing major service, VAR, or contractor relationships at the highest levels.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal with outside customers and vendors.
  • Evidence of achievement through influencing various units or functions within a diverse organization.
  • A series of significant accomplishments based upon a demonstrated understanding of a major customer’s business and strategy.
  • A solid tract record of excellent negotiating and communication skills.
  • Evidence of solid project management in HVAC Control skills.
  • Significant management level experience in service business required.
